"We're here because of David Koch and his vow to purchase a president,” said Anthony Zenkus, with Occupy Wall Street, pointing to the large amount of money the Koch brothers are speculated to spend. “It doesn't sound like democracy to me."
Zenkus added that they’ve also “protested (President Barack) Obama."

OCCUPY THE EAST END
[OCCUPY THE HAMPTONS]
OCCUPY LONG ISLAND PERSPECTIVE:
"Produce in the Projects set up a free organic non-GMO food table. We gave away free food to off set the 25,000 lunch going on (at the Perelman residence - earlier in the day). We had a free book-share and were able to reach out to the general public... We had people stopping pulling over to talk and we were able to educate some folks who wanted to know more about what goes on in our political system. Sandy Rapp and Marilyn Fitterman from NOW stopped and gave us support. Occupy the East End is truely non-partisan and we knew Romney and Koch brother wouldnt care if we were at the koch party. We wanted to reach our commnity and it was a success. Yay!!!"
~ Shannone Rhea (Sag Harbor, Long Island, NY)
Ty Wenzel, a member of Occupy the Hamptons, said Romney and President Obama should reject campaign funds from big-money donors. "It's unconscionable to spend $50,000 for a meal to buy influence. You can really support a family on that."
